I’d rather like the Hummer to be a past memory, than seeing it being run by a Chinese company. Hummer is an iconic American car, and it should not be sold to a company from another country.

Times have changed, but China only makes things cheaper, not better than the US. Japan made them better, but now they’re economy got the kabash too. So now only China has a good economy, prepare for a world full of cheaply made Chinese crap. Or we could have another revolution on our hands. People are getting fed up with the government’s ineffectiveness in the US.

I think HUMMER will be huge in a couple years if the sale goes through. There has been the talk about the 100mpg H3 and when the H4 comes out it will sell like hotcakes. The H4 will be the first HUMMER to get a very respectable 25-28 mpg. This video is funny though. 100mph. LOL!

I think he meant “gallon.” Still just as idiotic. I have a 2-cylinder Fiat 126p with 652 cc and on a good day, downhill with a tailwind it gets no more than 65 mpg.
Personally, I’ve never known the Chinese to be cutting-edge in anything. They are communist, and the communist work ethic is “they pretend to pay us; we pretend to work.” They’re not exactly preoccupied with progress. I think he was thinking of Japan, maybe Taiwan.
