But if you roll a jeep, it still looks pretty
@tbus70 you do know why the 07 is called jk right? it is cause it isn’t a real jeep, and is a joke
@HaloHamstur no actually the jeep has the advantage with the shorter wheel base the jeep is practically impossible to bottom out the only thing the longer wheel base would help with is gettig you up hills because it easier to get the front wheels over to pull you up
@StrainingDingelberry No cause its wider and its longer so the postition of the wheels its able to do more than jeep which is kinda squished together
@HaloHamstur was that a joke
@allsheba grand cherokee for offroad use hummer for on road the hummer is too big and heavy and dosnt have solid axles jeep does
@tbus70 the only reason you would have death wobble would be if you dont know the proper way to repair a front end
NIce Vid!
jeep rocks hummer sucks
i think hummer has advantage cause the shape of it
does the h3 come with stock lockers?
@tbus70 Death Wobble affects all Solid Front Axle (not sure about IFS) vehicles that have been modified, not just jeeps. With a proper steering setup and proper mx, it usually doesn’t happen. causes can range from ANY loose steering component, to an unbalanced tire. Trust me, my old Suburban in Dana 60′s had it, 38″ TSL’s don’t balance easy… Running a 2006 Rubi on 35′s and it isnt an issue.
@tbus70 hummers have a fuckin wishbone for a front axle dont talk shit about jeeps death wobble is a fixable problem. the fact that ur hummer is a chod isnt
@tbus70 Death Wobble has nothing to do with offroad, that was when on the highway doing 75+
they stopped making hummers so i guess jeep WINS!!!!!
@ScorpioRay83 BTW didn’t realize you were talking about a 60 mph collision. Thought you were talking about an ability test at 60 mph, IFS wins.Of-course the more expensive, stronger frame, more safety featured vehicle would fair better. And I am not saying a Hummer is a POS either. Glad we have come to a conclusion that we aren’t dissing each other. If you had a Rubicon all four wheels would spin together unless the guy you bought it from ripped you off.
@Charm1418 Ooh, and for the record, I have owned a Runicon. I still prefer the Hummer.
@Charm1418 Sounds to me like you’ve never driven one or had the chance to take one off road. The Humvee may be different and bigger, but the Hummer was designed to do the same thing, just a little smaller. a 60+ mile an hour head on collision may mean nothing to you, but to me, it does. I’m not saying that Jeep is a POS by any means, but i’ll take the Hummer. Drive one before you put your foot in your mouth again cause you’re starting to sound really stupid.
@Charm1418 Thanks a whole bunch, it looks really cool I like it!!
@Charm1418 that makes more sense!! I really like it, look really cool!
@ScorpioRay83 First off, HMMWV’s and Hummers are two different things. The HMMWV’s have much more space and load capacity. They were created to be the end all be all multipurpose vehicle. I would take a Humvee over a stock jeep any day! But not a Hummer Hummers can come with different differential options. LSD’s are not lockers. Also your 60 mph statement means nothing to me because the Jeep was never built to do that. Solid axle=great rock crawler. Independent suspension=great dune/sand racer.
@ooozmin Oh, dude sorry. I was looking at the Rubicon infront of the one you are ‘smentioning. That is actually a CJ. I am not knowledgeable enough on CJs to see if it is a CJ5 or CJ7 or even an earlier model. And he has a chrome grill screen on it.
@Charm1418 I don’t know that they make Hummers that don’t have all wheels locked. All of the ones i’ve been in have the same power train. Also, it’s obvious that you’ve never driven a Hummer. You want an ultimate test, put them head to head at 60 miles an hour. i’ll take the Hummer. Not only that, but take them both to the wild. Any dummy can get a 4wd stuck, but the dummy will have a harder time getting that accomplished in a hummer. Why do you think they drive H1s rather than jeeps in Iraq?
@matters8
“Death Wobble” refers to a Jeep with out of balance tires or a “shimmy” in the drive train from a bad lift job. tbus70′s Hummer SURELY outdid the Jeep as a grocery getter, especiallly if it was a large H2 (Tahoe frame) but also if it was an H3 “baby hummer” (Silverado frame). Hummers by name only.
@matters8
“Death Wobble” refers to Jeep Wranglers with either out of balance tires or a shimmy in the drive train from a bad lift job. tbus70′s Hummer surely outdid the Jeep for grocery runs. Especially if it was an H2 (Chevy Tahoe frame) but could have been a fine “getter” if it was an H3 too (Siverado frame).
